Supermicro Now Shipping NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 Racks
The racks include Supermicro’s direct liquid cooling stack and are built to speed deployment of large-scale AI systems, the company said.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, Super Micro Computer, Inc. announced it is shipping NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 racks integrated with its Data Center Building Block Solutions and direct liquid cooling stack.
Direct liquid cooling technology enables the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform to manage extreme heat loads from high AI throughput that air cooling alone cannot handle, moving heat through manifolds to cooling towers.
Each liquid-cooled rack contains 72 Rubin GPUs and 36 Vera CPUs, connecting through nine NVIDIA NVLink switch trays to deliver 216 TB/s of bandwidth and up to 54 TB of LPDDR5X memory.
Supermicro's Scalable Unit blueprint defines a balanced bill-of-materials across 16 compute racks, providing 1,152 Rubin GPUs and 331 TB of HBM4 memory to accelerate deployment timelines.
"We have spent years building the liquid-cooling stack," said Charles Liang, president and CEO, Supermicro, noting customers can now order production-ready systems with end-to-end integration from design to deployment.
