Three weeks of good weather have triggered a booking boom at Norwegian hotels. But while Norwegians have been waiting for the summer heat before deciding to go on a Norwegian holiday, foreigners have been securing hotel rooms for a long time.
The great weather and the desire for an active summer holiday have attracted people to cabins by the sea, in the forest and in the mountains. DNT has never had more members.
The beautiful summer weather has led to a new membership record for the Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT). Cabins by the sea, in the forest and in the mountains are popular.
Young people are flocking to the DNT cabins, and the greatest increase is at the coastal and fjord cabins in the Oslo area.
