The Sullivan’s Island Police Department recently announced that Corp. Joshua Poole, School Resource Officer (SRO) at Sullivan’s Island Elementary School, has been recognized by the South Carolina Association of School Resource Officers (SCASRO) as the 2026 Eric Bamberg School Resource Officer of the Year, the organization’s highest honor for a school resource officer in South Carolina.
