Longtime firefighters retire after decades of service

HAVERHILL — The voices of two veterans have cleared the radio for the last time in Haverhill, hanging their gear to close careers that collectively spanned 60 years.

DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — The Dexter Fire Department has completed two projects honoring its past and present members. The department retired the numbers of former Chief Al Banken and former Assistant Chief Dale Rowe. They are the only two numbers retired in the department’s history.
