Violence against anyone is unacceptable. In Canada, family violence has gone from a social issue to a women’s issue. Narrowing the scope of concern to a subset of Canadian victims and being mostly silent on the research that focuses on family violence in its entirety is detrimental to the fight against domestic violence (DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV).
