France strongly condemns the ethnic atrocities perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in El-Fasher, including summary executions, massacres, rapes, attacks on humanitarian workers, looting, abductions and forced displacement, and urges the SRF to put an end to this offensive in North Darfur and, in particular, not to expand its operations in the territories where the civilian populations fleeing their crimes have taken refuge. While the Sudanese conflict has been going on for more than two years, the paramilitaries of the Forces de soutien rapide (FSR) conquered El-Fasher, the capital of Northern Darfur, on Sunday, 26 October. Geneva's independent media, The New Humanitarian, recounts the abuses against civilians immediately following the capture of the city, some of which were documented by the soldiers themselves in videos published on social media.
