A major exhibition of knitted wartime scenes is set to open in Welshpool this September.

Knitters from across the UK have created a stunning set of 80 scenes, titled “The Longest Yarn 2 – Britain at War”, which will be on show atWelshpool Town Hall, from September 1 to 30. Depicting scenes of Britain during wartime using yarn, the exhibition builds on the international success of The Longest Yarn, focused on D-Day, which toured the UK, USA and is now on display in Normandy.
