The Shallow Ford Foundation has announced that nine students from Yadkin County received scholarship awards this spring, thanks to the generosity of local donors and organizations committed to supporting education and opportunity in the community.

SV students receive scholarships in honor of alumni

SHENANDOAH - Two Shenandoah Valley seniors received $500 scholarships from the Shenandoah Sports Locker and Veterans Support Fund recently. Chase McCole and Jourdin Karvois were selected as the recipients. The scholarship is in honor of Shenandoah Valley alumni Brian Rooney and Mike Reese. Brian Rooney, Sr., his wife Cathy, and Bill Moyer presented the checks.
