Structure fire forces evacuations - The Anna Maria Islander

Flames and heavy smoke are visible from an upper-level unit at Anna Maria Beach Place, 201 35th St., Holmes Beach, during a fire Feb. 6. WMFR C Shift Battalion Chief Derek Bill said the first-arriving crew made a rapid interior attack, getting water on the fire within about 45 seconds, and firefighters searched adjacent units to ensure the blaze did not spread.
