STRABANE and the wider north west remain in shock today following  the death of Aiden ‘Cookie’ Dunne yesterday, a man remembered as ‘one of the town’s great characters’.Described as a  ‘proud as punch’ Strabane man, Mr Dunne lived in Fountain Street for many years with his late wife Veronica and their four daughters, Fiona, Grainne, Sorcha and Clodagh.
