Storm Chandra shuts schools and causes flooding in the West
Storm Chandra brought over 40mm of rain in hours causing flooding, travel delays, and power outages for 20,000 homes, with flood risks expected to continue this week, officials said.
- Storm Chandra is forecasted to bring 30mm to 50mm of rain, with higher areas possibly receiving up to 80mm, according to the Met Office.
- Significant surface water flooding is deemed "probable" in the South West, as stated by Chris Wilding of the Environment Agency.
