A large-scale fire was declared in a wild dump near the Travellers' Area, between the Stiring-Wendel and Forbach Bans, this Saturday, April 18th at the end of the afternoon, around 6:30 p.m. Hundreds of tires, surrounded by vegetation, caught fire. The large plume of black smoke was visible a few miles around, as far as Sarreguemins and Saint-Avold. Firefighters managed to control the fire.
