LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUG 11 – Stafford has missed all training camp practices this preseason due to back soreness, with backup Jimmy Garoppolo also sidelined, leaving Stetson Bennett to start all exhibition games.
- Despite plans for individual work, Matthew Stafford did not practice on Monday, attending in street clothes at the Rams’ Woodland Hills training complex.
- After missing all training camp due to back soreness, Stafford has yet to practice this summer following an aggravated disc treated by an epidural shot.
- Last Saturday, Stafford went through a lengthy workout before the Rams’ preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, making roughly 70 throws and throwing an estimated 68 passes at the practice facility.
- With Stafford sidelined, neither Stafford nor Garoppolo will play in the preseason, leaving all three exhibition games to Stetson Bennett, as the Rams remain cautious with their Super Bowl-winning quarterback.
