The winter storm low "Ellie" causes heavy snowfalls, ice and considerable traffic obstructions in northern and eastern Germany and paralyzes the train traffic. "Becoming close and long-distance traffic will take up gradually," says rail spokesman Achim Stauss.
Those who want to travel on Friday evening with long-distance trains in the north have to bury their hopes. Only on Saturday it starts slowly again. Restrictions should continue - also in other parts of the country.
