Return to The Institute with Trailer for Season 2 of the Stephen King Series
Alfie Allen joins the cast as tech billionaire Nolan Reeves, and the new trailer teases Luke and his friends trying to shut down the Institute.
- On Monday, MGM+ unveiled the trailer for season two of The Institute, confirming a November 8 premiere. Based on Stephen King's 2019 novel, the series follows Luke Ellis and his friends as they attempt to destroy the organization.
- Following their escape from Dennison, Luke and his friends seek to expose the Institute's top-secret activities. The organization kidnapped kids with psychic powers, experimenting on them, and remains powerful after season one.
- Game of Thrones alum Alfie Allen joins the cast as Nolan Reeves, an eccentric European tech billionaire. Reeves is a financial backer of the Institute, telling associates, "I want to know his weak spots."
- Rebuilding the organization, The Director enlists Reeves to help, while fugitive Sigsby seeks a way back in. Returning cast includes Joe Freeman as Luke, Ben Barnes as Tim Jamieson, and Mary Louise Parker as Sigsby.
- MGM+ will stream the series exclusively in the U.S., Germany, Italy, Spain, and other nations. Amazon MGM Studios Distribution will handle the show in remaining international territories, continuing the adaptation of the Stephen King novel.
