By winning his second term at Laval City Hall, Stéphane Boyer promised to use the next provincial election as a springboard to advance the interests of his city and its citizens. The 37-year-old man won the election with a comfortable lead over his opponents, Claude Larochelle and Frédéric Mayer.
The youngest mayor of Laval's history, Stéphane Boyer, has been re-elected and will serve a second term in Quebec's third largest city.
The wind of change struck Laval in the November 1 municipal elections. The Mouvement lavallois – Team Stéphane Boyer won an overwhelming victory, winning 58,013 votes, or 58.87 per cent of the vote, and consolidating its grip on the majority of the city's 22 districts with 17 of the 22 districts under the party's banner, compared to 2021 when the party managed to get 14 candidates elected.
According to Radio-Canada, Stéphane Boyer was re-elected mayor of Laval on the occasion of the 2025 municipal elections. He was a second term for the 37-year-old politician. Mr. Boyer ahead of Claude Larochelle (Laval Party) and Frédéric Mayer (Action Laval) who was the other two candidates for the City Hall of Laval.
