Stellantis Q3 shipments fall 1%, weighed down by North America production halt
North America shipments fell 12% after planned production downtime cut Jeep output, while Enlarged Europe rose 10% on battery-electric vehicle demand.
On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Franco-Italian automaker Stellantis reported global third-quarter shipments fell 1% year-over-year to an estimated 1.3 million vehicles, hit by a summer production shutdown in North America.
North American shipments dropped 12% to 357,000 units, primarily because planned production downtime affected Jeep models like the Grand Cherokee and Compass, each decreasing by approximately 25 thousand units year-over-year.
While shipments in the Middle East and Africa fell 21% to 75,000 units amid regional conflicts, Enlarged Europe shipments rose 10% to 588,000 units, fueled by demand for electric vehicle models.
The European figures include around 44,000 vehicles from Chinese partner Leapmotor, a company owned 51 percent by Stellantis and 49 percent by Leapmotor to distribute vehicles outside China.
CEO Antonio Filosa is leading a €60 billion turnaround plan announced in May as the company launches six new vehicles and nine concept cars this week at the Paris Motor Show.
