Statesboro earns ISO Class 1 rating, council denies Park Avenue rezoning

Statesboro City Council’s April 21 meeting was highlighted by the announcement of the city’s new ISO Class 1 fire rating and the denial of a proposed multi-family rezoning on Park Avenue. Council also approved a series of infrastructure and service-related items, including a nearly $1 million Blue Mile engineering contract.

Statesboro Fire Deptartment attains ISO Class 1

The Statesboro Fire Department has obtained for that area a Class 1 ISO fire protection rating – the best possible – slated to take effect Sept. 1.
