Staten Island transportation company settles Medicaid fraud allegations for $250K

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Staten Island-based company is one of more than a dozen across New York that has settled with the state following allegations of defrauding Medicaid.On Monday, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that 16 transportation companies have settled for a combined $13 million following investigations that they used fake billing and other fraudulent tactics to steal Medicaid funds.
