MURFREESBORO – A run toward the Class 4A state softball championship game ended Thursday afternoon for a scrappy Page High School squad, as they fell 10-8 to Walker Valley.

Murfreesboro, TN-(WDEF-TV) Walker Valley rallied to beat Green Hill 10-8 in eight innings to claim their first ever softball state title. The Mustangs scored two runs in their last at-bat to tie the game at seven and force extra innings. Then in the 8th, Walker Valley posted three runs, as they picked up the 10-8 victory.
