Report Shows Increase in Tennessee Tax Revenue, Business Filings

New entity filings rose 20.6% and annual reports jumped 30.4% as Tennessee recorded first-quarter highs, officials said.

(The Center Square) – Tennessee's tax revenue increased by 14.4% in May when compared to last year, and 25,000 new businesses filed with the secretary of state during the first quarter of 2026, according to the Quarterly Indicator report.
