One Person Dead in Single-Vehicle Crash in Jamul
NEAR BRIDGEVILLE, DELAWARE, JUL 12 – A 27-year-old man died after speeding and failing to stop at a sign; he was not wearing a seatbelt, Delaware State Police said in their investigation.
- Delaware State Police investigated a fatal single-vehicle crash near Bridgeville, Delaware, on July 12, 2025, at about 5:00 a.m.
- The crash occurred after a Buick Century traveling southbound sped past a stop sign at Cannon Road and went off the road before overturning.
- The vehicle spun in a clockwise direction, collided with a concrete barrier, overturned, and was discovered down an embankment with the driver not wearing a seatbelt.
- The 27-year-old man from Bridgeville driving the Buick died at the scene, and authorities closed Wilson Farm, Conrail, and Cannon Roads for roughly three and a half hours during the investigation and cleanup.
