Massachusetts Prepares for a Storm of 'Historic Proportions'
Gov. Healey activated the National Guard and mobilized over 3,000 snow-fighting equipment pieces to prepare for up to 30 inches of snow and damaging winds.
- On Feb. 22, 2026, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey declared a state of emergency, activated 200 Massachusetts National Guard members, and said, `We want people off the roads`.
