Austin sophomore Ailani Thiravong had an improved score on the final day of the Class AAA girls golf meet at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Anoka Wednesday. Thiravong shot an 81 on to finish with a two-day score of 170. She took 53rd place overall. Ava Hanneman of Orono won the meet with a two-day score of 142. On a day where the course played particularly difficult, even for the state’s best players, Orono’s Ava Hanneman tamed Bunker Hills en route to winning the Class 3A high school girls golf state title on Wednesday in Coon Rapids.
