Former Bethesda Lead Systems Designer Kurt Kuhlmann spoke to FRVR, and when he was asked about a potential Starfield sequel, he told the outlet "I don’t think Starfield was anywhere near successful enough to do a Starfield 2."
Bethesda may not release Starfield's sequel, because the first part, in the opinion of Kurt Kulmann's former system designer, was not successful enough; however, the developer believes that the second game could correct the shortcomings of the original and move closer to Todd Howard's design.
Starfield 2? According to an ex-developer, that's just a dream for fans. Too little sales and Bethesda's new priorities are probably against a successor.
