- CCTV footage captured Noreen running into the burning nursery and emerging seconds later with the newborn. She told Samaa on Sunday that "the fire spread through the nursery within two minutes," adding she was heartbroken she could not save the others.
- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif requested an inquiry into the tragedy, resulting in eight officials being suspended and disciplinary proceedings initiated. Sharif also ordered criminal proceedings against those ultimately responsible.
- The tragedy has prompted broader reviews of fire-safety measures at hospitals across Pakistan. The incident ranks among the country's deadliest recent child tragedies, following a building collapse in Lahore in June that killed 14 schoolchildren.
