Saints Bring Back Veteran Cameron Jordan for One Last Season
Jordan returns after leading New Orleans with 10.5 sacks last season, as the Saints keep their all-time sack leader for a 16th year.
On Tuesday, Cameron Jordan signed a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints, securing his return for a 16th season with the franchise.
After testing the free-agent market, Jordan found limited interest as a 37-year-old edge rusher; he had ruled out cold-weather cities and rival teams like the Atlanta Falcons.
The defensive end remains the Saints' all-time sack leader with 132 career sacks, having finished the 2025 season with 10.5 sacks and 47 tackles.
His oldest son Tank told him, "Hey man, you're affecting our lives here," about two weeks ago; this conversation prompted Jordan to call the team.
Entering what he confirmed is "one final season," Jordan expressed optimism about the 2026 outlook, citing the development of quarterback Tyler Shough.
