City Removing Peak to Plazl Staircase - Kimberley Bulletin

Engineers found no cost-effective way to meet modern safety standards, and the city will improve an alternate route for year-round access.

The City of Kimberley is removing the Peak to Plazl staircase in the coming weeks and permanently closing a portion of the Peak to Platzl pathway. The staircase was officially closed in 2024 for public safety.
