New Illinois law mandates stricter privacy settings and limits algorithms for kids
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker signed the Children's Social Media Safety Act, which is scheduled to implement stricter privacy settings and algorithmic restrictions for minors starting in 2028.
Pritzker signs bills addressing financial exploitation, nursing home mental health evaluations – WAND (Decatur)
One law will allow financial institutions to disclose suspicions of financial exploitation to trusted contacts, co-owners and beneficiaries of account holders. The measure also creates a Department on Aging online portal to receive reports of suspected financial exploitation and abuse.
