Central Bucks School District will begin monitoring students’ online activity, 24/7

Central Bucks will monitor online activity to flag students experiencing bullying or mental health issues. Data and privacy experts say there are unintended harms to consider.

"Regarding more traditional forms of peer violence, if I may put it that way, we agree that they are not even increasing, it is more about them being reported more. However, online violence and hate speech are certainly on the rise," says Minea Rutar.

The Logout Internet Abuse Help Center, which has also been operating in the Municipality of Koper since last year, also offers help to victims of online violence. Co-founder and director of the center Boris Veler said at today's open day at the center in Markovac that most of their users are between the ages of 15 and 30, with the oldest being 75.
