The air traffic controllers' union in Bosnia and Herzegovina has threatened to go on strike in mid-June over unpaid wages, which could mean a complete halt to air traffic to airports in the country. The payment of wages is being prevented by the blocking of the account of the state air traffic agency BHANSA after Bosnia and Herzegovina lost a dispute with the Slovenian company Viaduct.
BiH must pay the Slovenian company more than 70 million euros, and how it will do so is currently unclear because BiH and the RS government are shifting responsibility between them.
