In Sint Maarten, Dutch marines have been deployed to ensure security around the Point Blanche prison. This happened after a prison riot in the detention center. The Sint Maarten Ministry of Justice states that this is "hard military assistance" at the request of the Sint Maarten police. Yesterday at around 5 p.m., a cell block was set on fire. Guards fled, and a detainee obtained keys with which he opened cells.
