Sri Lanka rupee closes stronger, bond yields down
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 299.440/45 to the US dollar in the spot market Friday, stronger against Thursday’s close of 299.35/45, dealers said, while bond yields were down. A bond maturing on 15.06.2029 closed at 9.92/98 percent, down from 10.07/11 percent. A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 closed at 9.95/10.05 percent. A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 closed at 10.10/16 percent. (Colombo/May23/2025)
