Springboks Edge Argentina as Siya Kolisi Limps Off with a Recurring Hamstring Injury
On Saturday, world champions South Africa edged Argentina 17-10 in a tense Test in Buenos Aires, extending their winning streak to 12 internationals.
South Africa entered as favorites, having won 11 of their last 12 encounters against the Pumas, while Argentina recently suffered home defeats to Scotland and England.
After 25 minutes, Siya Kolisi limped off with a recurring hamstring injury, though second-half tries from Edwill van der Merwe and Cameron Hanekom secured the victory.
Pumas substitute wing Matias Moroni sobbed after the final whistle, having knocked on a pass with the tryline at his mercy during Argentina's final attack.
Siya Kolisi described the match as "great preparation" for the Springboks' upcoming series against New Zealand beginning August 22.
