SPIRIT LAKE NATION – A ban on drinking and cooking with water on Spirit Lake Nation extends to July 7th. The council and officials with the Spirit Lake Water Treatment Plant issued a ban last month after elevated manganese levels were found. Officials say they want to confirm a temporary filtration system is fully operational before restrictions are lifted.
