Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd admits punching woman and assaulting her with barbecue tongs

Jack Shepherd admitted to violently assaulting a woman, including hitting her with barbecue tongs and causing actual bodily harm in February and June 2025 after his release from prison for manslaughter.
He was originally sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2018 for the manslaughter of Charlotte Brown in a speedboat crash on the River Thames and was on licence at the time of the assaults.
The assaults and property damage by Shepherd led to his recall to prison in September 2025.
Shepherd pleaded guilty via video link to two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm and damaging property, with other allegations dropped by prosecutors.
