- On July 4, 2025, President Donald Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law, which permanently extends the 2017 tax cuts and allows deductions for overtime and tips.
- Earlier this month, the Senate approved the act in a 51-50 vote with Vice President JD Vance casting the tie-breaking vote, and no Democrats supported the legislation.
- The legislation includes $170 billion for immigration enforcement, including $75 billion for ICE, and $4.5 trillion in tax cuts.
