Los Angeles Hosts Chicago After Ogwumike's 24-Point Game
Nneka Ogwumike scored 24 points and the Sparks turned 17 Indiana turnovers into 22 points in their first win in more than two weeks.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Indiana Fever 106-92, snapping a three-game losing streak as All-Star Caitlin Clark returned from a back injury.
Indiana played without star center Aliyah Boston due to a leg injury, while Fever coach Stephanie White managed Clark on a minutes restriction during the first leg of a back-to-back set against Phoenix.
All-Star Nneka Ogwumike scored 24 points to lead the Sparks, while Rae Burrell added 22 and Dearica Hamby contributed 21 despite 29 points from Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell.
Foul trouble for starters Monique Billings and Myisha Hines-Allen forced White to play inexperienced reserves, allowing Los Angeles to dominate the paint with 60 points.
The inconsistent Fever, who defeated the league-leading Aces on Sunday, travel to Phoenix on Thursday, while the Sparks prepare to host Chicago on Friday to complete their three-game homestand.
