- Reyes Bellver Alonso, director of women's football at the RFEF, confirmed the partnership will remain in place until 2029, noting that the initiative aims to offer options rather than discourage pregnancy.
- The measure drew criticism from Olympic bronze medallist Ana Peleteiro, who described it as "deeply sexist" on social media, while the CCOO trade union advocated for stronger workplace pregnancy protections.
- While Chelsea and Racing Louisville have also introduced fertility support, FIFPRO legal director Alexandra Bruinewoud stressed that egg freezing is not guaranteed to succeed and players need full education about options.
