VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES, JUL 15 – Spanberger's campaign set a new second-quarter fundraising record with $10.7 million, fueled by nearly 75,000 small donations averaging $29, boosting her lead in a competitive race.
- On Tuesday, Democratic nominee Abigail Spanberger reported she raised $10.7 million in the second quarter of 2025, the highest amount ever for a statewide candidate in Virginia, according to the Virginia Public Access Project.
- According to campaign data, nearly 75,000 contributions, 92% of which were $100 or less, show grassroots support's broad base and impact.
- The campaign deployed a $6.6 million expenditure, including a statewide bus tour with more than 40 appearances across Virginia, `Spanberger's campaign said`.
- Leveraging its edge, Spanberger's campaign allocated $1 million to the Virginia Democratic Coordinated Campaign, support aimed at boosting turnout for statewide and House of Delegates races.
- In a statement, Samson Signori said, "over the next four months, our campaign will use every minute to make sure Abigail's winning message reaches every community in Virginia," adding his commitment to extensive outreach.
