In July, tens of thousands of migrants arrived from Morocco in the Spanish exclave Ceuta - most returned after that. For the remaining people, Spain's government is now setting up shelters.
Some 72,000 migrants had crossed the border in an unprecedented and deadly influx to this Spanish territory in North Africa on 30 and 31 July.
On Thursday, the Spanish government announced the establishment of accommodation centres for 1,800 migrants in Ceuta, in order to alleviate the humanitarian crisis following the massive arrival of migrants from Morocco last month.
"Temporary reception areas" is the term the government uses to describe the camps set up in Ceuta to accommodate migrants who arrived in the city after the mass influx at the end of July. The facility consists of 28 tents located in two areas, Loma Colmenar and Loma Margarita, although not all are yet operational.
