Three recorded deaths, ten wounded and thousands of hectares left in smoke: the north-western part of Spain, particularly Galicia and Castile and León, has been ravaged since 10 August by a series of uncontrollable fires. In some villages, half of the houses have disappeared. On Thursday, 14 August, the inhabitants denounce a lack of means to combat the flames.

Spain is currently affected by some 15 different fires, especially in the north of the country, which have already caused two deaths and several injuries.
