Agnikul Cosmos secured ₹150 crore from investors to enhance reusable rocket tech and expand a 350-acre space campus, serving customers across India, Middle East, and Australia.
- On Saturday, Agnikul Cosmos said it raised 150 crore at a valuation above half-a-billion dollars to build reusable launch vehicles, CEO Srinath Ravichandran said.
- Building on its patent, Agnikul Cosmos plans to strengthen reusable architecture, advance its lower-stage recovery programme, and develop a 350-acre integrated space campus allocated by the Tamil Nadu government.
- The funding round drew participation from family offices and institutional investors including Advenza Global Limited, Atharva Green Ecotech LLP, HDFC Bank, Artha Select Fund, Prathithi Ventures and 100X.VC, while Agnikul has added a large-format metal additive manufacturing unit and plans an indigenous facility near upcoming launchpad.
- The company will deploy the capital to scale production units of aerospace and rocket components, advance its stage-recovery programme, serve customers in India, the Middle East and Australia, and place small satellites into low earth orbit next year.
- Having demonstrated a sub-orbital rocket launch last year, the startup now opens pathways for reusability and cost-efficient orbital access toward becoming the world's first recoverable small-satellite launch vehicle.
