Southwick assessor extends public disclosure of valuations to Dec. 8

SOUTHWICK — Town Assessor Randy Austin said Tuesday he’s extending the public disclosure of the town’s property valuations to Monday, Dec. 8, to allow his staff extra time to prepare for the tax classification hearing the Select Board will hold on that date to set the tax rate, which he predicts will be lowered.“I was a little overzealous in my expectation,” Austin said about pushing the date back a week.
