SOUTHWEST AIRLINES TO OPEN NEW CREW BASE FOR PILOTS AND FLIGHT ATTENDANTS AT AUSTIN BERGSTROM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (AUS)
Southwest Airlines will triple its local workforce and create 2,000 new jobs by mid-2027, supported by a $5.5 million city incentive and public benefits programs.

- Next March Southwest will begin new nonstop service to Fort Myers, Palm Springs and Steamboat Springs , Colo., raising Austin's nonstop destinations to 53 and adding a recurring flight-attendant training facility.
