Home Prices Keep Increasing Even as They Sit on the Market

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, JUL 24 – Home prices in Southern California fell 0.9% year-over-year in June amid 35% higher inventory in Los Angeles County, driven by high mortgage rates and economic uncertainty.

Home prices hit a record high last month even with a prolonged freeze on the housing market with buyers opting out of deals or out of the market entirely.
