In Germany there is already the tourist tax for dogs. In South Tyrol they wanted to finance the elimination of dog debris. But now there is a surprising turn.

In South Tyrol holidaymakers will not have to pay a "curtax" for their dogs. The state government withdrew a planned new regulation, after which from next year for each dog brought with them would have become due daily 1.50 euros. Italy's northernmost province is generally one of the most popular holiday destinations.
