- The KFA will evaluate Moreno's performance over the next two months to determine his potential role at the Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, "subject to an evaluation." He dismissed allegations of relying on ChatGPT while managing Russian club Sochi.
- Korea will host Ecuador on September 24, followed by Uruguay, Venezuela, and Uzbekistan in September and October as Moreno aims to rebuild confidence and make the team a "more proud unit.
