- On November 2, 2025, troops of the 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army, rescued two kidnapped victims in Kogi state during an operation from Forward Operating Base Oguma.
 - Acting on credible intelligence about kidnapping along the Itobe–Adumu–Ejule axis and reports that relatives of victims were en route with ransom, troops projected a patrol to Achigili Forest.
 - Soldiers came under fire and exchanged shots with kidnappers, using superior firepower that forced the bandits to flee wounded into Achigili Forest, the Army said.
 - Following the operation, the rescued individuals were debriefed to aid investigations, and the recovered cash of over 800 was handed back to them, pending handover to the appropriate authorities.
 - In a statement signed by Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, he reaffirmed the Army's commitment to protecting lives and property following the operation from FOB Oguma.
