Solar energy has grown tremendously around the world, and it is making a late entry into Quebec, where 60 solar park projects have just been submitted to Hydro-Québec as part of a first call for tenders for this sector.
Hydro-Québec announced on Wednesday proposals to provide 300 megawatts of solar energy to Quebecers by the end of 2029.
Bids will be evaluated in the coming months and the result will be announced in early 2027.
